I have an intermittent issue with my 2012 mini s convertible.

Sometimes it works fine - particularly in temperatures above 90. Other times I will get a lock symbol and I get a code a6a3. Which seems to be a hydraulic temp sensor code.

Any ideas - is there a sensor that might not be working. I do see correct oat on the dash so assuming that ambient temperature sensor is okay.

Any ideas would be great
