Camshaft Position Sensor??

My sons 05 MCS w/115k miles....throwing a p0340 code Bank "A". Is there more than one Camshaft Position Sensor on these?? I am only seeing the one on the passenger side directly behind the motor mount ....if thats what I'm looking at. Are these prone for failure with this many miles ?? Im assuming this is whats causing the struggle with starting.

Check the wire going to it also and the plug to make sure the connection is good before you replace it. Comes with a little o ring also.

Yes and its a square wave, but AC or DC only matters when measuring volts not miliamps. You can test for DC volts. One wire is power 12v, one is ground, and the other will be the signal wire that you can test for volts or frequency while the engine is cranking.

After disconnecting the connector and testing the circuit (tested good) I reconnected it and it started great....I'm guessing it's needing replacing.
