Redneck Cosmetic Modification

The paint has been worn off the door handles for some time now. I was not really wanting to R & R the door and handles to repaint them. I have recovered the bars in the hide of the Nauga, but I could never get the seams to seal & stay down properly. Then, in a fit of redneck-inspiration while helping my Scout son learn how to paracord-wrap a knife; I decided to wrap the handles of Dougal. Nothing too fancy, just a straight wrap. But like most redneck ideas - it works!

That's not bad, but I think redneck would have been leather cord or something.

Maybe I'll wrap it in duct tape to make cleaning up the deer blood easier. LOL

yeah I don't think I can agree that's redneck, but I do enjoy it, its way to neat and easy of an idea to be redneck.

try a leather belt, or wallpaper left over from the house..... that's redneck =D

Couldn't you buy carbon-fibre-effect bootlaces and use those?

I think that's a pretty good idea, and doesn't look bad at all. I might've used some multi-colored or flecked cord, like climbing rope, but the effect is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing, that's something to keep in mind for the future.

I think the word 'customized' is more appropriate, as I like it! Good job!

Not bad. Actually looks pretty good and looks like it adds some grip. Good job.
