Hose from Transmission

Hose from Transmission
Hello all. Did some engine mount replacements on my 2010 Cooper Base today and after putting everything back together the car is much smoother.
I noticed a plastic hose coming from right underneath the transmission mount And leads nowhere, I’m wondering if I snapped something and I’d sonethibg is missing from that hose or is it just like a breather hose or something. I have attached pictures so if you know what that hose is please let me know, I just want to be sure I did not mess something up, I didn’t unplug any hose while removing the old trans mount
It’s simply coming from the tranny and pointing down like it’s a breather or something

Thank you all for your quick replies. This is my wife's mini, and our first time owning one and I have a love/hate relationship with the car
I'm just now starting to work on some issues it has, mount is done and now I need to find a whining noise coming from the belt area, I had been convinced it was the friction wheel (from purely readingforums/youtube and speculation, I know, bad idea to conclude without actual diagnosis) until I started working on the mount and decided to do some troubleshooting and diagnosing.
I disengaged the friction wheel momentarily to see if I could isolate the culprit, It wasn't it, whining noise persisted, I have replaced the tensioner pulley before so I know that's not it, It's also not the water pump because when the friction wheel was disengaged the water pump wasn't moving. I think that leaves the AC compressor, Alternator and Crank pulley. I used a stethoscope and it sounds like its coming from the alternator. When I see other mini coopers around, including my neighbors, some have the whine as well. Anyone have an idea or experience with this? Or do these carss just whine? Not sure how I could further isolate it, I've had my fair share of misdiagnosis in the past Will record the whine and post a video.
As always, Thank you all.

Yes I already bought the part. Barely goin to start looking for the best way to reach it and replace it. Is it easy to take off? Use a plier to take off the rest of the hose that broke?
