We are picking up our cooper S on Friday.

After waiting all this time after ordering it, it's made the trip across the ocean, into and out of Cali and is now heading towards Colorado via Semi I guess. Made an appointment to pick it up Friday at 1ish. About freaking time.

Yep, about 24 hours away. The weather is looking good, I'm guessing it could be 30 degrees and we would still have the top down. I think we are heading to Boulder after picking up the car, getting a few miles in before coming home.

Everyone is different but I've found that 40 degrees or higher is fine with the top down... with the following caveats:
- Heated Seats!
- Wind deflector
- Windows up.
- Warm/wind resistant jacket
- And some nice bright sunshine helps quite a bit too.

Not that you'd have to worry... The weather for Boulder tomorrow looks near perfect.

Enjoy!

I think heated AND cooled seats should be standard on all convertibles. It allows more "top down" times for those days its just a bit too chilly or warm out.

I just ordered this wind deflector from Amazon today. Are you happy with it?

Good point. Had I thought about this a bit more when I was ordering my car I might have sprung for lighter colored seats. I think I was too concerned about the seats getting dirty.

Yes, quite. I ordered my wind deflector as an option in the MINI configurator but you saved yourself about $150 by going through Amazon (I think it's $500+ from the dealer).
