I got compliments the night I drove it back from Texas from the gas station attendant, a fixed up 350Z raced up to look at it and tried to get me to race him in San Antonio, my co-workers all wanted a ride and said they liked the way it looks, and I still get comments from my friends. This is only after having it for 5 days.
hahaha, thanks! I don't know what it is but this color combo and aero kit just works REALLY well. For a mini cooper, its a constant head turner. I just can't believe how lucky I got. I spent a whole 10 mins looking for a Laurel Edition and wound up buying it the same day, booked my flight that night, flew out first thing the next morning, and brought it back home in 24 hrs. It was worth the trouble.
I was looking for a Cooper S for a few weeks. I saw a pic of the LE online....I went to the dealer....looked at it...talked #'s...took a 5 minute test drive......came back next week with my "trade in" and drove it home. Saw it, Loved it, Bought it...I knew it was for me. Next day I'm getting gas...A guy walks up to me and asks if the car is One Of Those Italian Race Cars....
The aero with the white wheel well trim on yours does work.
I bought my LE Clubman back in July (2nd Mini). Car gets a ton of attention. I work in pro racing and parked my Mini in the "Mini Owners" paddock at Limerock Park during our race. I come back to my car an hour later and sure enough some guy parked his identical LE Clubman next to mine. I wasn't so "special" after all. "2 of 100" just doesn't have the same ring...
Old post - but wanted to see if the Laurels are numbered .... ie XX out of 100
Unfortunately no. Mine is in excellent condition at 11,000 original miles. I don't go anywhere...it sits unless I need a pizza or 6 pack. I'd sell it but I love it as much today as I did on day 1.
I wonder if the production number can be traced? That would be fun.
