Spare Tire

Just purchased a 2010 CPO Cooper Convertible and no spare tire or flat kit.
I do not have runflat tires. Does it come with a spare?

It would be helpful to know where you are. In the US, MINIs are delivered with spares or they have runflats. The dealer should not have sold you a car with no spare and no runflats. You should go back and nicely ask them to rectify this.

All S and justa (non-S) convertibles are shipped with runflats on 16" or 17" wheels. Are you sure the tires are not runflats? There should be a tool kit inside the boot under the floor.

To prior responses--it's a USED car

CPO= Customer Prior Owned or something like that.

Runflats could have been switched off of car by earlier owner.

To original poster: if you want runflats, look at terms of CPO program and their inspection. It may be they should have "flunked" the car for CPO for no runflats (i.e. non-stock), but missed it. Or, it may have a basic exclusion for tires cutting the other way.

Finally, if you want Mini runflats privately, look on your local Craigslist. Here in SF Bay Area anyway they seem to just languish with more sellers than buyers. Sometimes tires, sometimes complete wheels. Recognize that 2010's and later need a new TPMS part number, so avoid supposedly TPMS used wheels that aren't 2010 or 2011 if you want the sensors too.

6800 miles and car was from BMWNA.
I thought all season tires are a zero cost option?

Runflats and all seasons unrelated

There are both all season and summer runflats (and dedicated winter ones too in the aftermarket for that matter). Don't know what Mini might ship for all season run flats, but mentioning both all seasons and run flats is really just juxtaposing two different things only related to both being tire selection choices. Bottom line guess is that if you have a used Mini without runflats that's a 2010, sounds to me like somebody took the runflats off along the way.

By the way, there are also true CPO cars (the ones with extended warranties) and then the Mini/BMW "demonstrator" cars sold at some discount slightly used but w/out special warranty. I own the later, which was first delivered to BMWNA as well. But it isn't a CPO as far as extra warranty coverage unless dealer sold it that way (and paid the internal premium for the longer warranty coverage to BMW).

Runflats?

I just took delivery of a 2011 Cooper Convertible, and had ordered all season tires, because I thought that meant I would not get run flats. The car has no spare, and the dealer (Mini of Monmouth) is telling me that the All Season Tire option is 'All Season Run Flats' hence no spare. He alked me so come in and if they can fit a spare they will.

My Cooper Convertible, has All Season Continental ContiProContact SSR, which are runflats, hence, no spare tire. I was told it had all season tires, which these runflats are.
They did drive well on the highway, but I will not replace them. Prestige Mini was very helpful.
Thank to all.

Spare,run flats 2010

I have a 2010 MC/S Coupe purchased with all season run flats; no spare. I purchased 4,like new wheels, (take offs) (to get one spare) with used run flats tires. Wheel and tire assy will fit nicely behind rear seat back on my coupe with storage tray/cover removed. Not sure about convertible.
Now am selling 3 extra wheel/tire assys, which I purchased for one spare wheel tire to be used only as a spare.
See my ad under wheels/tires name is bgron, 248-202-5095 , if any interest, Bob. Might be same wheel as on your car.
