I see you've got your car with the new Aero bumper kit - pretty cool!
Yah, I hated trying to keep the black plastic arches clean on my old MINI. So I opted to not have them on the R57.

Yes, it is a bit of pain to clean black honeycomb inserts on mine too, as they do accumulate some water...

You do have two Gen 2 friends ouu there... They've logged over 100 hours each, so they must be enjoying Convertible weather in Hawaii.

Interchange yellow question

Hi, I'm about to order my first MINI--I'm getting a (non-S) convertible, and I'm thinking about Interchange Yellow, but I've never actually seen one in the flesh. I did see a 2002 hardtop, which was a lemon yellow; and a newer (2009 maybe?) convertible that was a greener yellow. Are either of these colors Interchange Yellow? Thanks!

The greenish Yellow is the new Interchange Yellow. Here's an old thread that provides actual photos of Mellow, Liquid and Interchange Yellow.

Hi jansean, you are correct the Greenish-Yellow 09' cabrio you saw is Interchange Yellow. This special color isn't for everyone because of the slight influence of another color. The color was such a money generator that mini was considering using it on the other models We IY owners are so passionate about this color that we even lobbied mini to only use IY on the convertible line Hope this was helpful, WE LOVE INTERCHANGE YELLOW!!

Almost ready to join the club . . .

I went to the dealer and ordered mine on 4/2/10. Tracking the progress everyday and am hoping it gets here on the early side of the 6-8 week estimate my MA gave me.

I liked those black web spokes wheels also. I had thought about those.

Please tell me that that the rear park distance control works fairly well.

New addition to club - 2010 IY JCW Convertible

I picked it up on 5/14 but it took me some time to finally get pictures taken & figure out how to post here. These pics are from yesterday after having a clear bra application applied on front bumper, headlights and full hood for paint protection.
