MAYHEM HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!! Picking up tomorrow so I can appreciate this lovely summer weather, even if it's for one day! =) =) =) Pics to come!!

 

See??? Now you'll have thrilling stories to tell at the MINI club meets. Or to your grandchildren. Or to the next batch of owners whose cars get held up for some reason at the VDC (yes, it does happen on occasion).

 

I hope it's worth the wait once I'm driving it tomorrow. I still stand by my statements that my dealership should have been more up front about the delay. I don't understand why you would keep information from a customer especially when it's not your fault...

 

Do let us know. Ordering and taking delivery of a MINI is fun.....driving around that first week is otherworldly. I've had my 2nd gen Cooper for two years now...pure bliss!!!!!

They may have been in the dark, too. We have seen this happen on occasion with brand new releases from MINI. Why is it not handled differently? We never seem to find out. I hope motoring in your MINI softens the memory of this unpleasant experience.

 

Congrads to both you. You've managed to hang in there for the past month and now you have the pleasure of driving your new convertibles all summer long... Post the pictures...

 

Well, now I'm trying to see whether I can actually pick her up on Tuesday. That may be a no-go. If not, then I'll have to wait until after I come back from CA on Monday. ARRRGH!

 

Although as frustrating as a wait until Monday is, at least I now have the peace of mind in knowing that she's ready and waiting for me! And yes, there will be plenty of topless summer left, including a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway in June. And, she'll be broken in by then.

 

I know I didn't get much sleep the night before delivery day!!

 

Soooooooooo, after all these posts...........guess the thrill isn't gone after all?

Well, you'll have to wait until Monday for mine...going away for 4 days this weekend and had no chance to pick her up this week.

I know how you feel. After all my trials and tribulations of ordering/reordering being stuck at the VDC, when it finally got to the dealer I was going out of town for a week and had to wait another week to pick it up after it arrived. After all that, the dealer wanted to make real sure nothing happened so he had it parked in the showroom!!

 

I ordered on April 13th and my R57 just went into production this week! So I guess i get to start the waiting game now. Looking forward to the pictures for the two new arrivals!
