Hey y'all. I just ordered my 09 JCW and so I will be joining you folks soon.

My previous MINI was an Electric Blue with white roof so it seems fitting to make my next Laser blue with white roof. I plan on powder coating the JCW wheels white as well. I will post pictures in 6 weeks when it arrives..


I am already on the owners lounge several times a day looking for a status change!!

 

The Miata was the one of few cars that I was comparing to the MINI when I was in the Miata. Brilliant to drive, gorgeous to look at... but the interior was just horrid to touch... plastic everywhere. It was a close call though

 

I loved it but it was way underpowered.. I ended up trading it. The power hard top that I had was incredible. If they had made a Mazdaspeed version, I would still have it.

 

what it didn't have for power it made up for in handling. Loved my test drives. I would have had the power hardtop.

 

As promised, here is my wifes new car, just picked it up today And, whewww... I can say, it's not as fast as my car

Thanks The new factory aero kit, IMHO, is way nicer than the old kit. We thought maybe there would be to much blue, but it came out nice

We will have to get a pic of 3 laser Blue Minis that we have in our club now. My wife had ordered hers and in time she took delivery, two other people bought new LB cars We have a meeting this Friday, hopefully they will all be there.

 

Cool collection of past cars! See my gallery for what I traded in. Beautiful, but unfortunately and electrical lemon. Was in the shop 13 times in 11 mos. I am so happy with my Mini and the 10 weeks on order was worth the wait. I was originally going to go with Chili Red until I saw Laser Blue at the dealership. I ordered the red, but kept asking my husband if he liked the blue--his response was "whatever color you like, it's your car". I went home, pulled up both colors on the internet and had my boys vote--they went with the blue and I am so glad we changed!!!

 

So do you have a production date yet? When you find out your "week", if there is not a thread started yet, start one up! . My week is already on page 31 and going strong, even though most of us have had our cars for over three weeks.

 

Thanks for asking Mrs Jiminni: Production was week 22 and started a thread after searching for one. Oddly enough only one other person joined that was being produced that week. I jumped over to the week 23 thread which seems to be thriving!

So here is the thing.. I may be paranoid but my car has been at VDC since Thursday before last.. and was supposed to be delivered to dealer on the 18th but got pushed back to the 21st... Well yesterday came and went and it did not arrive.. VDC is only an hour and a half away. I am really starting to fear something happened to it during shipment.. Trying to be patient but it stinks.

 

That does not sound good You better call your MA and find out what happened I belive after a certain amount of damage or repairs at the VDC they need to inform you.

And i'll be changing from lowering springs to coilovers before winter so I can go back to stock height when needed for snow...

 

Not likely my car will ever see the white stuff in Central California .

 

Those wheels are fantastic.. I like the way they are a little deep.. do they come in other colors? Would love these in white. What kind are they?

wheels are Konig Daylites.

I don't think they sell them in white, but you could always get them powder coated.

but beware the brake dust! my gold wheels turn bronze after a few weeks...
