As for getting the mirror caps off, if you have a little plastic pry tool, you start from the top inside and work your way out. It definately feels like you're going to break it, but it just pops free. Good luck!
Thank you for the advice on the mirror covers I will get that tool and take them off. I had another profile and I asked a ? and someone was rude and I guess I might have used a "bad" word in my response to him and I got banned!!

I ordered my Electric Blue Mini about a week ago. I bought one that was actually out of production sitting on the dock. Mine is a 15M3 4 door hardtop S with: Cold Weather package, Premium package, Media package, John Cooper Works Exterior Package, JCW Steering Wheel, 18" JCW Cup Spoke two-tone wheels, Leatherette Carbon Black interior, Black bonnet stripes.
It apparently is on a boat now so I am getting excited.
My daughter will be driving the Countryman at college next year. The wife has a regular Mini S. So we will be a three shades of blue Mini Family: Midnight Blue Countryman, Horizon Blue regular Mini and an Electric Blue 4 Door Hartop.

New Laser Blue owner here, had it for a few months now just late on posting it.
2008 - 39,400mile, Manual, LSD, S-Winders, Cold Weather package. Nice lite configuration. Took me a while to find a MCS with no sunroof and a LSD. Now slowly preparing it for D Stock autocross.
