Yeah, I'm not sure exactly when we should meet. I'm sure we can all get together for a few minutes at some point. Maybe meet up a few minutes before an event we are all going to anyway?

Finally got our MINI back!

Here it is with the Cooper S front bumper:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/41540337@N07/5471155187/http://www.flickr.com/photos/41540337@N07/5471155187/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/41540337@N07/, on Flickr

The Cooper S hood didn't fit, which means the hood I really wanted, the '11 Cooper hood, wouldn't fit either, since they are the same hood but without the scoop.

Next on the list is the Cooper S rear bumper and center exhaust. I always liked the center exhaust, so since the rear bumper got screwed up, I'm just going to make the change now. So, it will be fun figuring out how to make the MCS exhaust fit the Cooper I'm kinda glad the MCS hood didn't fit now because without the hood scoop, it won't look like I'm trying to make people think it's a Cooper S quite as much... which I'm not, I just happen to like some of the Cooper S's more aggressive styling cues, exhaust, etc.

1 year ago today my MINI motored off the production line! Happy Birthday to Mindy!

It also happened to be the exact same day I went to MINI of Pittsburgh frantically looking for an Oxygen Blue since they had been discontinued. Mindy was the last one left in England with 90% of the things I wanted... They had promised her to another dealer in another state for inventory but they were able to get the order switched. :D

Hey, I'm having trouble getting to your JCW Grill tutorial on flickr. When i click the link from here it tells me I don't have permission to see it.

Hmmm, it seems like it probably has something to do with letting my Flickr Pro account lapse. Even *I* can't see it as a set anymore. If you search "how to install JCW grill" on Flickr, all my pictures come up, but look like they're out of order. I'll have to look into it a little more when I get a chance.

OK, so let's figure out exactly which OB owners are going to MOTD and then we'll figure out when to meet up.

-Blainestang
-amberback
-Agent.Cooper

Anybody else?

I (and by I, I really mean my bf) will be attempting this install this weekend. I think I've got all the photos fav'd on my flickr in order, lol. Wish me (i mean him) luck!

Oh. And Mindy hit 20,000 miles this morning!

Looks like we MAY be taking my car to the Dragon. Jimmy's might need a little too much maintenance to bring it to that kind of a drive. Can't wait for it though! Not too much longer now. :D

Sorry for the bad photo... but here is my new grille, orange-less headlights, and wheels.

Next is TSW springs, hopefully this weekend. Running out of time to get it done, aligned, and driven a bit before the dragon.

Looks great!

Did you just replace the orange bulbs with ones that are white/silver but that blink amber? I like the look. Even though I have the "white signals", the orange bulb still results in a lot of orange in the headlight.

I completely removed the orange lens... and right now they're a tad illegal. I had purchased some iridescent looking bulbs that blinked orange but the pin offset was wrong. Apparently there is a difference in the sockets on your car (clear lens, orange bulb) and my car (orange lens, clear bulb). Ordered the correct socket from a dealer and it is coming today, so I'll post another photo when i get the iridescent ones in.

Gotcha... yeah, definitely post of the bulbs and the finished product.

Good luck getting everything done in time for the Dragon!

Great! (well, maybe not for Jimmy :D)

How about we try to get together for an OB meet and picture around the time of the Car Show or something, assuming everyone will be around Fontana at that time. I'm sure I'll be around then and amber, you said you'd be going to the car show, so maybe right before or after the car show or something would work for everyone?

What do you guys think?

After works for me.
I was all set on taking my car for the car show but i didn't realize that the Brewery drive tour overlaps the first hour of it. Other than my bf going to the brewswap at 6, I have nothing planned on Friday after 3ish.

Oh, that's no good about the Brewery drive and the car show. Maybe next year

We'll plan tentatively for after the car show (or some time near that). Does that work for you, Agent.Cooper? Anybody else coming?

Oh, and we'll be at the Brew Swap, too!

Cool! I think I'm going to be locked out of it since I didn't pay the $10. I don't really like beer so I wasn't paying another $10 to just go in with him.

It's only $8, and you get a cool MOTD Brew Swap pint glass!

Just posted the following in the "What did you do to your MINI today thread":

CF MCS Fog Light Fillers

http://www.flickr.com/photos/41540337@N07/5596345203/http://www.flickr.com/photos/41540337@N07/5596345203/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/41540337@N07/, on Flickr

Bought this rear bumper to install on my MC along with center exhaust, and it didn't come with the fog lamps or the fillers, so I figured I'd make some fillers out of CF.
