In December, I put it in storage
Got it back out in March 2011, service indicator still says in 6,000 miles
I'm at 20,600 miles now and just today it switched (from due in 6k) to Service 3/2011 (But it's already April, car!)

Do I still get a free 1-year checkup even though I already had my oil change service this year?
Don't know if someone answered this already but the 6,000 mile thing is just a check up/inspection. They'll reset the counter for you.

I'd never seen Oxygen Blue next to Ice Blue, but one parked next to us at a Pre-Dragon Party on Saturday!

Now my wife is talking about an Ice Blue Clubman as our next MINI. We test drove the Countryman hoping to like it, but while I think it would be great if the other option is a CR-V or an even bigger SUV, it's just not quite like a "regular" MINI as far as the way it drives... so Clubman it is (which won't be happening anytime soon anyway)

Thanks... I like them, too. They're just the factory "White Turn Signal" taillights, but I think that for a $100 option, it makes a big difference in the look of the car.

And yes, the Ice Blue's wheels are interesting. I can't decide if I like them because they're interesting/unique, or if I dislike them because they're weird. I DO think they could have been executed better.

I remember when I first got my 03 MCS, we were dying for aftermarket parts. You could those lights (clear turns) for like $600 back then. Then again, some of my friends in local mini clubs were paying $5500+ over MSRP.

Yeah I think I dislike them, because they are weird, not the cool twin 3 spoke ..but differently weird...

P.S. Do you have any good full side shots of your car? I am debating TINT just because how hot it gets. My 03 MCS is tinted, but looks good as the roof is black. I am not sure how it will look on my white roof Oxy Blue, so some pics would be appreciated.

Yikes... $600 taillights and $5500 over MSRP? No thanks!

I think my biggest complaint about the wheels is the execution... they just aren't "crisply" cast, if that makes any sense. Too much material or something. I don't mind the idea in general on a MINI.

Well, I haven't been able to find any pure side shots. This is the best I could find in my search of my Flickr uploads:

BTW, an interesting find while searching... an Oxygen Blue RX-7!

I really like ice blue... but when beside Oxygen Blue it looks really dull. :( Has anyone seen a surf blue beside oxygen blue? I think its just a slightly darker version.

I wish I had blainstang's taillights. I wanted that option so bad (but my car was one of the last oxy blues ever built & i didn't get to choose). I've spent WAY over $100 now trying to retro-fit it. Next might be the tail lights... they're $100 each... we'll see if I can sell my current tail lights for a good price before doing it.

I'd like some tint too but it's pretty much all illegal in PA. So none for me. :( I don't want to be a cop target.

So what was the officially decided meet time and place?

Turned out that particular reminder was for my state inspection - my dad has an inspection station and had already done it... so i basically took a half day off work and drove into the city for them to reset it. Then i went shopping. :D Now it says 9k... should be an oil change. (But we'll probably do an at-home one after motd)

Yeah I had gone through your whole FLIKR album, thus I asked. Yeah back then having that clear turn signal tail light, meant you were DA BOMB

Yup my friend owned the local MINI dealer. I bought 3, kept one, and sold the other two for 4500+ profit per car. It was fun

YES! I managed to snag a quick washdown for Basil... it's amazing how filthy he was -- and how brilliant his colour is now! Definitely ready for the Dragon, I'd say!

Obligatory photos:

Now... it's going to rain in 2 hours! Oh well! At least I got MOST of the grime off of him!

I did the same! Last I checked it was supposed to rain in the AM... maybe that will change. But at least Mindy will be cleaner than she was!

Agentcooper-nice car. Did you order yours with OEM fender clear marker and front clear turn signal, or did you modify them?

It is a boring 80 degrees here all week. No clouds even. :(

Thank you. They're a part of my lovely's white turn signal package. One of the better investments as far as cosmetics go, I'd say. :D

I wish they had O2 Blue for the S. I think it'd look good. I like it a lot better than Ice Blue.

It's been a while! What's up, guys? Basil and I have been doing wonderfully!

He FINALLY gets to upgrade and have his own little home. I'm so excited! He and my boyfriend's MINI will be sleeping soundly under a roof for the first time. We're buying a house together! It has a 2.5 car garage. We hardly even noticed that it had a house attached when we saw it. :P
I can't wait. There will be many fun times had. Many celebrations. Hopefully, some club meets there, too!!

Congrats! That extra 1/2 garage sounds like the perfect spot for a Classic Mini .

Mindy & I are doing well, working on driving off her free maintenance this summer. Will be hitting 27,000 any day now. We're headed to Cleveland tomorrow for MINIs at The Pub.

Yes, we are planning on buying a classic when we can find one and afford it!! :D
We were going to make it to the Pub, but since we bought this house we can't really afford the trip. It's a bit disappointing as I have been looking forward to it for a while, but there's always next year. Thanks, too.
Glad to hear you're doing well! Enjoy yourself this weekend!!

There used to be not many around here. Now I routinely see 4-5 of them.

Two new pics of mine. Gave it a wash. Haven't gotten around to do the clear light mods yet, been too busy with the Lotus at the track.
