Go to the TireRack site for the best price? Then ask your dealer what he charges? Be prepared for a shock plus few tire shops stock any runflats? When I got a flat on a road trip down 101 the shop had to fly one in to San Francisco.

Here are the results of a MINI2 forum query asking which tires came on their R56s:

http://www.mini2.com/forum/poll.php?...ts&pollid=2687

If you look the 2 most commonly installed tires for 16" wheels in Tirerack, the Goodyears are $201 and the Dunlops are $235.

check the "for sale" forums on here. you can often find them for dirt cheap when people upgrade.

The two online tire places I have dealt with are:
Tire Rack - www.tirerack.com
Discount Tire Direct - www.discounttiredirect.com

Both have great prices. Also, in sixteen inch sizes, MINIs use the 195-55-16 tire, but a 205-50-16 fits too and is what I installed on my old MINI. There are more choices for high performance tires in the 205 size. Lastly, NTB (National Tire and Battery) will match Tire Rack prices plus installation. I got Yokohama AVS ES100 tires for the old MINI for about $90/tire, installed.
