Epiphany!

I used to have a 2004 MCS, which I loved. I have a 2007 MSC on order. I was very distressed by the amount of attacking that goes on in here between the R53 and R56 owners/fans. Well, I just had an epiphony: I am witnessing the most car loyalty I have ever seen. It just confirms that owning a MINI is the way to go, whichever version it is.

Audi? Right. If this was an Audi board, there would be two people on it discussing how to get the crease sharper on thier pleated pants.

No thanks. Dunt(tm) get me wrong. Audis are nice cars. They are just boring. Even the 'racy' versions or boring. You don't drive an Audi. You pilot it.

Enthusiasm is a good thing. Being an enthusiast is even better. Being part of a community of automobile owners who enjoy the poop out of their cars is just more adrenalin on the cake.

Go MINI Love !! After all, whether you own an R53 or an R56, regardless of your preference for the MCS or the MC, whether you dig British Racing Green or Hot Orange, regardless if you have a convertible or a tin top, we are all one big, happy MINI family !!

Nice thread, LynnEl !

And I'm very impressed that not only do you know how to use the word "epiphany", but you spelled it correctly, too !

wow ordered one, I kept getting the "well thats more expensive to do that" from the dealer. Finally I was like ok, I'll take that one. The only one that wasnt red or yellow. a silver S.

Just about every single mini was equiped the same, in fact they were all the same price except for one.

ah well, doesnt seem to miss anything that I thought I might need and I already met a guy at the movie theatre that parked next to be in a 02(think thats right, first year or something?) he was on the phone with his wife talking to her about this brand new 07 parked next to him.

it went well, and yeah the new ones are really different when you look close.
although since his was about 3 inches lower then mine it was a little more obvious lol.

Having a great fun car,
Finding backroads just for the thrill of it,
Having a community of like minded motorers sharing their passion...
priceless!!!

Well, I can say you are going to love the interior colour combination of your new MINI! The black cloth/blue leather seats with blue colorline looked awesome. I almost bought an MCS in Dark Silver with that. But I wanted cloth seats for now. Just met up with the DC Metro MINIs crowd today in Northwest Baltimore, had the only R56 there, but it got alot of attention. I love the previous MINIs too of course!

Cool, Z3Bum. Glad to hear you like the interior color. I hope I get it, as it doesn't appear on my Ask MINI list, although it is on my dealer's sheet and they insist MINI has it. Also glad to hear the DC Metro MINIs are active. Once mine comes in, I'd love to get active with them.
