R56 Week 14.. anyone else ?
Me. And my car has been sitting in the "on order" pile for 3 weeks! Grrrrrr.. More upsetting is that things seem to change by themselves (e.g. I ordered leather sport wheel, but suddenly wood popped up on the build sheet. Wood isn't even available anymore).
Yep, got confirmation that my Nightfire Red is slated for week 14. My MA kept telling me early March, saying no, no delay for the Nightfire. Argh.
The worst part is my wife and I have been car-less for 3 years. We are finally ready and anxious to join 20th century America (albiet carpooling together in a modest vehicle) but will be waiting 3+ months from order time. Hopefully delivery will just be that more sweet!

They don't, so I have been pestering my MA, who told me it could go from "on order" through production in 3 days.
Anybody heard about being compensated for delays ? There's certainly no contractual obligation on their part to delivery at an estimated time. But what can I try to get from my dealer for "pain and suffering"?
I haven't found threads on this...any suggestions where? Thanks!!!

Actually, my MA did already give me a Hammer and Coop lunchbox...but we didn't know there was a delay at the time. I'll take what I can get!

Ouch! OK, so clearly I came off sounding naive...as I indicated, I haven't been on a car lot in years! But I wasn't the one who brought it up first and I have heard other musings around the boards of getting freebies from the dealer due to delays!

And I didn't mean to sound overly offended!
I hear throwing in floor mats is pretty standard. What else is a possibility? (Not that I am losing sight that the MINI itself is the prize, not mats or a lunch box!!!)

Hey, week 14ers. What sort of timelines are you hearing for your car? Scheduled for production or anything like that? My car is supposed to be finished March 27 and I'm not sure what week that puts me in.
My vehicle was "On Order" for the better part of a month. It all depends on the dealer's allocation, where you are in line for a car, and how soon to the allocation's build date you put in your order. Mine was the first at the dealership in line for a Week 10 build, since I'd ordered my MCS with auto trans and satnav back in November. However, he couldn't put it in the computer until late December, then it went to the "Order Bank" and then a few weeks later it finally was assigned a production number.
While it would be great to walk into the dealership and be told a car will be built in the next week, and on it's way shortly thereafter, it seems to be the case pretty rarely. A wait is part of the game, and just wait until the joy of having it built and then it sits on a dock for almost 2 weeks. (Of course, that depends on where it's headed...)
Mine's finally on the way, by the way, thank you very much!
Hang in there. It definitely isn't easy!

I just called ask-mini and it stated my car would be completed on March 26th, anyone have any idea on long it takes to get to the dealership from that point? I will be in China for business for all of April and most of May. I think I need to make arrangements for my brother to pick-up my car
Finally!!! I've been waiting for a week 14 production group to pop up
I ordered mine on the 16th of March and an Ask Mini human told me that my car is slated for the 14th week. Does anyone know when that is exactly and when it should be completed?
BTW, I have a 2007 Mini Coop ...Pepper white roof and body.

My car is supposedly a week 14er. Yesterday my MA said "some" cars will go into production next week. I take "some" to mean "not mine." There's a GTI at the VW dealer up the road that has been making eyes at me for a while.... I don't know how much longer I can hold out.
Hey guys, I just received more 'concrete' information from a human today at ask-mini. As of today, Germany has accepted the order. Cars on week 14 should be completed by April 7th. Production should begin on April 3rd. Delivery time after the ship has been loaded to the west coast should be around 2 to 4 weeks...but he made sure to tell me that they like to overshoot the estimate. Hopefully, it will be delivered by the first week of May!
