Sorry Skuzz, I just didn't appreciate your range.

It's a common error. I can be so subtle and yet so over-the-top obnoxious as to make you wish you could chew on ground glass rather than listen to me whine any longer. It's a gift.

I hope you realize, I was/am just kidding around.

We wouldn't want it any other way!

So, have you not had the need for procrastination to finish that animation?

I have a 'roughie' complete for the animation. Working on the rest of the artwork for it.

Had to finish up some honey-do's this last weekend as the weather was nice and I had promised her I would get them done the first good weekend we had.

Perhaps MAD (MINI Anticipation Disorder) will eventually come to be known one day simply as "Skuzzy's Disease."

It has also been a custom to soothe the frayed nerves of soon-to-be-owners in this fashion:

TICK

TOC

TICK

TOCK

HA! Skuzzy's Disease! I think I'm going to start using that for general impatience. Let's see how long it takes for it to work it's way back to TX.

To clarify, I didn't mean you were procrastinating and avoiding getting the animation done, I meant that you didn't have other projects you were avoiding and doing animation instead! I think I'm in some need of some good procrastinations too. All I've got is this board recently!

I haven't gotten official word yet, waiting for the call. I've already harassed the heck out of my MA about insurance stuff this week, so I'm being patient.

Bah! Call and harass them...and beg...and plead...then move to the pathetic whining phase and be sure to sound desperate. Make them WANT to get you your MINI this weekend! Make it so your MA can't sleep at night knowing you're without your MINI and curled into a tiny ball, rocking back and forth, chewing on your fingernails and then crying yourself to sleep.

Hey, it could work!

I've been officially instructed by wifey not to call. She's getting superstitious I think it's really that if I know it's at the dealer, I will go visit it, and that will be evidence to her that I've lost my marbles (or more accurately, will make it harder to keep up the facade that they're long gone).

I already told my boss, when my car gets to the dealership, not to expect to see me about the office. I figure to haul my detail kit over the dealership and get to work on her.

I have not told my Wife about that, yet. I think I am one step away from her signing the commitment papers. I have to walk lightly and be veeery stealthly.

I think we're going to have to recruit the OCD folks in the detailing forum and have an intervention!!!

Why wait until it's at the dealership? Go sit outside the VDC, be stealthy and jump onto the car carrier (with your detail bag) as it pulls out. You'll have the entire trip to detail and prep your car while it's in transit.

I'm sure no other motorists on the Freeway will notice a guy moving around a MINI while the car carrier is in motion.

I hope for your sake the car carrier semitruck driver is better than the one I encountered last week. This is no joke...

Last week, one day after work, I was headed to pick my son up from High School. It's a beautiful day out. I'm motoring top down listening to tunes. I was going Southbound on a 3-lane road - divided by a concrete barrier and landscaping.

I was in the far left lane. I round a slight bend in the road and there is a car carrier headed Northbound...IN MY LANE. I slam on the brakes, check the side view mirror, CAR(s)!...nowhere for me to go. My MINI skids to a stop. My pulse is racing...the car carrier is still coming at me - though he appears to be slowing. The cars behind me are skidding to a halt. I'm bracing for impact. He brings the car carrier beast to a stop about, ohhhhh I dunno....30ft in front of my MINI.

*picture if you can*...tiny little me, top down, looking UP into this HUGE semitruck cab. I give the driver a "WTF" look. He looks down at me, shrugs his shoulders, and HONKS.

When traffic permits (we're creating quite a backup by this point) I move over to the right into the #2 lane and drive around him. He's just sitting there. I pick up my cell and dial 911. I have to explain to the Operator three times what's going on, and where. I'm sure the driver had fun explaining that to the cops and negotiating that beast of a truck back onto the correct side of the road.

Moron.

Fortunately for Skuzzy, the cars are shipped to Moritz from the VDC in an enclosed car carrier....detailing could be done in complete stealth-mode!!!!
