R56 The Official Nightfire Red Owners Club
Congrats Rooandren!
Looks like you will take delivery first! Hmmm...quicker delivery of my MINI vs 365 great motoring days a year...I guess I'll be staying in So Cal
Just kidding! It's my jealousy coming through. I can't wait for some true to color photos. The car show photos were great but very difficult to determine what the real color will be like.
My husband and I play the "I hope it will be like that red" game whenever we are out and about.

I thoght my wife and I made up that game!!! There's a Toyota Highlander around the corner that I'm convinced is closest.
When I was at the dealer picking up my car yesterday (trying not to gloat), I poked around to see if there was any Nightfire Red yet. No sign. I did take another look at the sample and it's great. You all are going to be so happy with that color. It's my favorite. And it almost convinced me to get a Cooper.
Looking forward to the first real photos!

I actually really love the Velvet Red color. As far as I know though it wasn't available for the '07 MC. I'm hoping the NFR will be like VR, only metalic (at least that's what I'm picturing in my mind...)
Well, I'll have that special tag ready for the first person to post pics of thier new NFR Cooper. I should have it done this weekend and will preview it for everyone.

And, VR is metallic.
I think that might cause very bad things to start happening. The three sorta red Coopers of the apocalypse.
Oh yeah, there's supposed to be four... ummm...

Looks like i'm booked on the Liberty ship - scheduled to leave 4/21 and arrive in NY on 4/30.
The interesting thing is that I was actually booked on this ship on 3/9 - the day after I ordered and more than a month before I actually went into production.

CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK!
I don't think the booked on date is important. My car was ordered March 7
and completed on March 27. When it arrived at the port in said that it was booked on Feb. 2 in order to leave on March 31. My impression is that they book space on the ships in advance for cars that haven't been made yet.

Can I really do this in the nightfire thread?
I've only posted a couple photos in the week 13 thread. Haven't taken any that are particularly good looking yet and none of the interior. But I will take advantage of your offer and post a link here.

Ok, less grumpy now because this got me excited...
I don't know the etiquette of directly linking to a different forum, but we should see some pics tomorrow in the "Nightfire Red Pics?" thread at mini2.com

Here's Harpo's nightfire red from mini2.com (with a CR in the background). Thank you, Harpo!
