Hey guys. I'm a brand new MINI driver and love it so far! (Only been driving in it for 3 days now). I got the 2011 MINI Cooper S, fully loaded. Here's a pic.

Is that a new Alta mod?

I joke, but if I thought it would add a few HP I'd probably install one on my car.

I am always interested in what someone has in their garage besides their MINI. Here's one of my favorites.

Here's a couple pic's of my new MINI Cooper S. Had the windows tinted to 35%. Also planning a hitch, but MiniDoMore hasn't released the 2011 version yet. I have front and rear mud flaps to add, along with rear bumper protection, but I think I'll wait until I can do the hitch since the rear bumper will need to come off to add the hitch. Also contemplating some stripes, most likely green on the bonnet and boot. My son has the DoS CAI on his MCCS and I am also thinking about that, but I will need to tread lightly there as I kinda gave him a hard time about spending the money on it when he added it last summer.

Not sure if you already know but DoS has a pretty good ongoing group buy for the CAI and other accessories. Then you'll be showing your kid how much of a smart shopper you are.

I'm really diggin that classic green leather.

Edit: Wait a second your in the other thread talking about getting the magnaflow exhaust.... soo your telling my thats the jcw stock exhaust??

 

Yea, that's the stock JCW exhaust. It's already pretty big and performs well. A catback exhaust is mostly a sound mod as opposed to a performance mod on the Mini. On our cars real performance gains are found when upgrading both the DP and the exhaust together.

The Magnaflow is going to sound great though!

I hope to have some more pics posted to my gallery in the next day or two if I get the time to take some pictures tomorrow.

 

i need to find out if the 2010 exhaust is exactly the same as the 2011 if so then im just gonna order my exhaust and tips right now

You won't have any problems. I don't think there were any drastic exhaust changes on the 2011s.

 

Thanks. I really like it. To my eye, I think it looks better in real life than it comes across in the pictures. My sense is it's not a popular option though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were dropped after the 2011 model year ends. That wouldn't hurt my feelings though, as I like having something that's a little rare. I am a big classic Porsche 356 and early 911/912 fan and several years ago I saw an Ivory 356 over Dark Green leather that I absolutely fell in love with, so when the opportunity to get the same combo in a new MCS came up, I jumped. No regrets.
