All minis have recessions in the roof which make them "ready" to accept the rack. You just have to remove part of the rain rail trim(plugs replace the removed portion when your not using the rack) and install it. The attachments spread when torqued down and "hook in" to the roof receptor thingys*. Super easy and not as difficult as folks have made it to be. After reading the directions it literally took 5 min per rail to install.

Nice, so it's 100% reversible? No drilling into the roof or anything like that?
I may actually get the rack for my bikes if it's completely reversible and non-damaging to the car.

Completely reversible, i have one fork bike attachment for sale in the market place as well
