Thank you so much for happening to put up a pic of some DS/BLK r56's with the JCW body as thats what i was debating doing first, made up my mind

 

What wheels and size are these?

 

They look like the stock option bridge spoke 16" but painted black

Did you paint these yourself? Powdercoat or just rattle can?

 

I would think it would be pretty strong otherwise our cars would risk getting bent frames just from a tow

Yeah I'm actually planning on doing this with our precious rotator spoke 15s haha I don't think I want to go as shinny as these tho, but not matte...i have to find that happy medium haha

 

No kidding? I'd like to see how they turn out. I saw a matte black wheel in a shop the other day and it looked good. Better than the gloss right next to it. I don't know if powdercoating comes in satin.

Yours looks very similar to how mine will look. The differences are mine will have floor-to-floor viper stripes and solid black rear-view mirror caps. Same wheels and all.

The mirror caps were a freebie personally done from my cousin

 

You can't go wrong with checkered mirror caps

 

I miss my english ones, but I dont want to offend my cousin who got me the deal, I have to decide I need to rep my english heritage a bit

Yeah I'm considering either paying up the money and having them done right (powder coat/tire and rim separated/etc) or just masking off the wheels and doing it myself...I think I may give it a whirl in the summer and see how it comes out with the rattle cans...my main concern is taking the wheel weight off to paint and hopfully getting it back on right...i think the paint will offset the balance anyway, which is why I think I may just pay up and have the shop do it all

 

This discussion makes me wonder what web spokes would look like painted black. Any pics out there?

 

Those are JCW R109 double spoke 18's. I think they're around $3k
