MINI Review in Newsweek

Did anyone read this in the latest copy of Newsweek?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17312283...storyContinued

Is it just me, or are there are least 2 pieces of information in this little article that are incorrect?

This is my first post, and I do not have a MINI yet, but check NAM multiple times daily. I have learned so much that seeing wrong info in a published article just bothered me.

What does everybody think?

He got a couple of details wrong, but he got the gest of the car just right, in my opinion.

And I think this may be the wrong forum to post this in. And look at me, propagating it. Yeah for me, the numpty! OY! Sorry admins.

most magazine reviews I see have some detail wrong. It's not the first review I saw that got the sports button wrong either. At least he got the fun factor right!

It gets worse. You've only been reading multiple times a day. Soon you'll be posting that often too!

Welcome to NAM!

Congrats on your first post -- mainstream press is a good thing especially since this MINi is more mainstreamed (he said in gest)

It happens.

I was asking about the turbo manufacturer for the last couple months on a few different sites and was getting mixed info. A couple VERY reliable sourses eventually assured me it was a Honeywell/Garrett unit.

Turns out the turbos are german-made KKK's. CLEARLY stamped in the compresser housing (a "K" surrounded by a rounded triangle). There's even a little tin plaque in plain view with the logo and model number on it.

Oh, well.
