COOPER X "Thomas Jäger Meister Edition" R56

No sure if this has been posted yet. From a-workx.com site and the team "Wieth Racing" that ran a MINI Challenge Club Sport in Germany, 2006. Shown at the Essen Motorshow. Interesting aero treatment and 250hp. Someone is doing something right. Maybe they tweeked the sound generator (just kidding..)? Nice seats.

I've seen the pics of that body kit/wheel combo before (similar angle as pic #2, I think + one of the front that wasn't as flattering as this). Can't remember where.

No HP numbers were suggested at that time. 250!?! I believe it's possible... but this seems pretty soon for the R56 to be putting out those numbers. Not to mention too soon for my own pocket book.

Seems they are optimistic about 250hp too. At least this tuner has dug into the R56 and coming from a respectible one that supported Thomas Jäger. Options will be flowing soon, only time. Just trying to keep the enthusiasm going even though I'm a die-hard R53 owner.

Loosely translated via babel...
"Engine The Vierzylinder-16V-Motor with 1,6 litres capacity, direkteinspritzung and turbo-loading offers a outstanding basis for intelligent Motortuning. Momentarily an increase in output is in work, over 250 HP of maximum performance is planned. To be reached this goal is by different measures: Characteristic diagram optimization, sport air cleaners and a changed intercooler will help to obtain the performance desired."

a-workx MINI Tuning

Agree, the front aero could be just an illusion due to wide angle lens. The last photo side shot looks nice. They handled the rear very nicely. The rims could go and be replaced by a proper track setup.

It'll be interesting to see how near they get to 250hp and how they achieve it.

I agree, clever use of words. I bet that when there are more photos of this Essen a-workx show car that the front will look better than the close-up tight show limited shot. Thomas Jäger is one of the MINI Challenge Germany Series "Meister's" [German Translation = Master]. Currently, he raced a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup für das Lechner Racing Team.

I love the steering wheel. Are the new interiors like that? If you get the CR intereior, is the steering wheel CR too?
