Interested in getting a Mini S probably later this year... but like to see
the car in person. Anyone know if the socal dealers got the R56s on the
lot yet?

I saw some pictures on the forum last week... I drove straight to the
Assel Mini dealer only to find they got none displayed.

South Bay Mini on Hawethorne Blvd. Torrance has a couple of them. Saw them Fri. night 2-16-07

 

As of Saturday, 2/17, every dealer should have the R56 on the lot. They should have quite a number of them, too, with a bunch of different options displayed amonst them.

 

universal mini has both the s and cooper , but if you are getting a new mini then just buy a 06. The r56 looks ugly in person i think.

 

I was at Assael BMW/MINI on 2/17/07 to get something for my MINI and I saw 1 R56 that was a Cooper I didn't see any Cooper S on the lot.

 

Stopped by Assel Mini today... the sales kindly showed me the new Mini/Mini S they have in the back lot. Also, gave me a nice brochure.

Having read that some complaint about the bigger panel gaps.. I took
some photos.. will post later.

It's amazing that the new Minis gets better MPG than the outgoing regular Cooper...

 

MINI of Towson (MD) has 13 R56's in stock, according to their website. About half are base and half S.

 

Bob Smith also has them in
