Question about color fron Configurator ...

From day one since the new Configurator has gone live, the MC below has been on the loading screen. For a few days even as the configurator was launched it appeared as one of the color choices but now its gone.

Anyone know anything about this? I never heard or seen this color mentioned for an MC/MCS ... and have only seen it on this screen.

That looks like cool blue, which has only been available on the MC/MCS convertibles. I don't believe it has ever been available on the coupe so maybe that's why the picture is no longer there. It is on the current configurator for the convertibles, though.

Yes and yes. I guess they took it down because it's not available on the coupe.

Lightning Blue change

so THAT's what happened! I thought the earlier Lightning Blue was far darker/duller, which is what I ordered. Fortunately, I like the brighter blue I've seen it become. At least online!
Coming the end of Feb. I'll know soon enough!
==========
MCS, LightningBlue/Black/leatherette, Premium, chrome rings, alloy trim, pacific blue trim.

For some reason, the U.S. configurator was off color in the beginning. Lightning blue looked completely different on the U.K. configurator. The funny thing was there were already photos of Lightning Blue cars posted on Mini2 before the U.S. configurator went live. The configurator needed better configuring.

It must have as I configured a few MCS' with it ... it looks really great with a black roof.

And then ... poof ... it dissapeared with no explanation. Would have been a great color to keep in the pallete.

The configurator needs better everything. It has had more inaccuracies than any other configurator I have ever seen. It's a good thing for them that we still love them regardless :impatient
