I keep checking the sailwx.info site for the callsign 3FKB9 but no luck. I think I read somewhere that ships don't report weather data until they are out away from land. Any expert mini trackers out there know? Maybe we just have to wait for until the 20th.

 

My ship, the Aida, arrived in NJ yesterday. I was unable to track it across because it evidently never submitted any weather data. I guess it's up to the captain whether to do so or not.

 

I am on the Asian Emperor, so excited. Although I have been unable to track it also. When anyone finds her on the sailx site, please post!

 

How do you tell which ship it is on? Mine is listed as "enroute" so I'm assuming its floating around somewhere.

just curious, how does your MINI get to Hawaii? Another transport? Matson? I grew up in Honolulu. Miss being in the islands...

 

Yup, Matson. 10 day trip.

I've been in Hawaii since 1988 and love it.

 

OK... they're inching their way toward us; a good sign. If they do indeed arrive on Feb. 20th at the VPC, what do you figure will be the actual release date from the dealer. There are 556 cars that have to get through the VPC! Mine only needs to make it down the road to LongBeachMINI.

 

So where are these cars destined to go?

Interested in putting the location on a map and seeing where the first R56's will be living?

Woohoo! Mine was on MAERSK TIDE just landed and discharged at port hueneme, ca two days ago! Only about a two hour drive from where I live... Wish i coulda drove over and at least take a look at my new baby. But guess I have to wait...
