Ugh.....theres a love hate realtion ship going now with the mini...I decided to get less jazz on a cooper, and instead, get a cooper s. now with that im going to get a dark silver+black top. That is my 95% choice, but now im not sure whether to get black viper stripes up the center and down the back, or black bonnet stripes.....so many options! i love and hate you mini

What do you all think?

 

Bonnet stripes, they are more traditional to the MINI. But thats just my opinion.

 

Go for the stripes.

 

I vote for the Viper stripes! I started accumulating images of striped minis when I was making my decision. Look at this thread:

Most of these are off center stripes as I'm looking for, but the sites I searched had lots of viper stripes and I think it looks great.

I like the looks of black bonnet stripes on dark silver MINI's I think a carbon fiber scoop and mirror covers would also look cool

What he said. Bonnet stripes. While you're at it, do the boot stripes, too. Really dresses up the rear view of the car, IMO.

their version of "viper" stripes:


although I think this would have looked better with white on the hood, none on the roof. Vipers, and recently mustangs seem to have two very wide closely spaced stripes. These above are actually on the narrow side, more like a classic sports car stripe. Now these are sweet on DS:



Vipers really have no exclusive claim to this style stripe - wide double stripes started with the Cobras, and before that the first real racing cars to use them were the Cunningham cars in the 50s - Wikepedia history if you are at all interested. Point is "its not a viper" means little.
