What comes with sports suspension?

The description of sports suspension in the configurator is "Our sports suspension uses thicker anti-sway bars to help deliver a tightly tuned ride, especially on the aggresive bends and corners."

Does it change anything other than the sway bars?

I thought it was thicker sway bars and different spring rates

My MA told me it's thicker sway bars (a mm, I believe) and the spring rates are different for a stiffer ride, too. I have the performance suspension ordered for my 07 MCS, so I have a vested interest here. I know I read that somewhere, too. Now I have to go dig that info out, I guess.

Yup, spring and damper rates are stiffer too.

as per motor trend...."The standard suspension proved a bit soft for hard cornering work, so take a good look at the optional Sport Suspension Package. With a thicker anti-roll bar, stiffer damping, modified spring rates, and 17-inch wheels, the grip becomes downright tenacious. Yet ride quality is in a entirely diferent category than the previous Cooper S; now you sense the tarmac rather than being jarred by it, especially on rough surfaces."

That's good news! Of course, the sport suspension doesn't include the 17" wheels. They are probably thinking of having both sport suspension and the sport package - I found it odd that the sport package does not include sport suspension!

Is this the hyper-sport package we are talking about? I''d like to know more about that option.

Hyper sport is just a areo kit and the sports suspension. Hardly hyper-sport at all...

There's looking like a "sport" and then there's DRIVING. I believe the word "poser" might apply in some cases.
