Today got a call from my MINI-dealer. They told me my 2007 MINI Cooper S Lightning Blue just arrived.

I jumped in the car to take a look at my Incredibly New MINI!

She's so beautiful! Some pictures;

Hmmm the mystery centre button reappears. The one between the sport button and the DSC button at the base of the gear shift. MINI said it wasn't going to be used in the UK market, but wouldn't say what the missing button would control.

I also still don't know whe're the button is for. I hope I can use it for something, maybe as an on/off switch for strobescope lights or the daylights in the driving lights.

Oil slick, rocket launcher or ejection seat. The price is pretty prohibitive, though.

@ Dyelooper:
Thanks! My "old" new MINI was an Indi blue with white roof, white mirrors and white 17 inch S-spokes! Also like Indi blue very much!

Can't wait till Thursday! Every minute feels like an hour! The nitrous button.... not a bad idea!

@ designerMINI:
I didn't know how the colour looked on the car when I ordered it. Mellow Yellow with a black roof, black mirrors and black Crown spokes was my second choice!! So I think Mellow Yellow is a VERY nice colour for the Incredibly New MINI Cooper S! But I'm glad I did Lightning Blue. The colour is better than i thought!!

Very, very, nice! Congrats on your new MINI!!!

The white wheels set it off, but I'll bet they'll be a pain to keep clean.

I like Lightning Blue. Looks really sharp. It doesn't seem to have the depth of Indi Blue, but from a photo its hard to tell. I'll have to see it in person.

Knowing how BMW/MINI is though, Lightning Blue probably won't be around as an option when I get around to getting my MINI in '08.

Perhaps they'll keep Lightning Blue around another year or bring back Indi Blue or even Space Blue and make it available in '08? Time will tell.

Enjoy your MINI and thanks for the pics. Now, if we can just get some photos of a Cooper in oxygen blue...

First of all thanks for the compliments! The white wheels are a real pain to keep clean, but it sure is worth it when the MINI is completelly clean! Than she is so nice, just as my former Indi Blue Cooper S.

The colour is pretty different in real than on pictures. Don't know why, but you have to see the paint in real before you can realy tell if you like it.

If you want a Lightning blue MINI, I hope they still make the colour! It's sooo nice in real!!

I think Oxygen blue is also a colour you have to see on the car, before you can say if you like it. I believe my dealer has got one in order. When it is here I will make some pictures for you!

Thanks so much CooperS for taking the time to obtain some photos of Oxygen Blue!

I'll be looking forward to seeing those pics as will others. I believe that GoKartRide is also interested in that particular color for his R56 Cooper.

Can't wait to see it (OB MC)... anxiously awaiting your post! :impatient

there is almost NO difference at all

I thought all the convertibles were getting last year's color choices.
The 07 convertibles have the R56 color choices?

No, I don't agree with that.
If you see Lightning Blue and Hyper blue next to each other Lightning Blue has kind of like a white (how do you say that) gloce (??). Very nice, it has more "effect" than Hyper blue.

I will try to make a picture tomorrow of my Lightning Blue next to the Hyper Blue they have at my MINI-dealer.
