Just received my build number. My MA said that I have a 1st Week Jan build data but that since I ordered an auto trans that none would be built until the last week of Jan. Also stated that would be Monday or later before MINIUSA would recognise the build number.

Well, maybe your MA didn't get to work today? I stayed home and away from all the lunatics driving on the ice and while I was bored, called Moritz. The numbers just came in and my MA said that they were going to begin calling later in the day but since I was on the line..... You get the point.
Don't be too angry 'cause even if you had it, you can't do anything with it anyway. They won't be in the MINIUSA system for a few more days and they for sure won't start building until Jan. I will admit that it does give me a little peace of mind to know that it was actually ordered but until I can see it online, its still just a number.
You made the right choice going with Moritz, you won't regret it.

Yea I'm not extremely mad.. Maybe a bad choice of words.. Moritz service has rocked every bit.. Just a bit curious to see when these orders actually did start though.

I contacted my MA after reading this thread and he told me that since I wanted some options that weren't avaiable until the March allotment, he wouldn't be taking my order until late-January/early February. \

FYI...My production # worked...and took me to the BMW owner's Circle where I was building my 2007 Chili-Red BMW... ????
It let me complete it...and lets me sign into the BMW site...but then has nada for info..
I guess this is further proof that this is a BMW product

Got my prodution number this morning! 
I pretty much got a bone stock MCS. Dark silver/black, Manual transmission and the center arm rest. My MA is Aka DeMensa at Mini of the Woodlands in Houston. He is really helpful and friendly and I can't recommend him enough.
Now for the hard part...waiting!

He said I will put my order in next month, as it's chock full o' options which are listed as being available in 3/07.
