New exhaust is visible. DOn't know if I like the visible can look. The hidden cans on the current car are actually nicer. IMHO.

 

Sa far i do not like the new style.... just is there doesn't seem to flow i believe some one used teh term ate to many chips. It certainly does look like that.

 

Wow from the back, it looks like a raised 4x4. Im guessing thats not what it will look like when it is released...

They are really making a nice sleek looking car that they are just trying to wait till the last minute to reveal so they keep throwing these ugly cars out to distract us.

 

those taillights are stupid looking, the wheels are BAD, and the front end looks so damn plain. I give it a big fat thumbs down, I really hope they suprise us at the last minute (or not, the uglier it looks, the better I feel about my wifes '06 factory JCW car!)

 

not liking the bottom half of the rear and the front ... those black mesh grilles are not working ... the car looks lifted in the rear ...

 

For the record:

There is body colored masking on that car.

On all mini's that i've seen the rear is always about .5 to 1 inches higher then the front.

 

Lets just say... I'm glad I have an '05.

I'm not understand what they were thinking with this new styling... it's kind of... well... fugly.

 

Now, now, let's be open-minded. Remember, we will be welcoming these into the fold in the very near future (won't we?). I'm sure we will be the first to jump to their defense, it is family after all. Just keep thinking, "it's still a MINI, it's still a MINI...."

Regardless, I'm glad I have my '06!

Am I the only one noticing that the bonnet is actually raised up behind the scoop inlet? I don't like that one bit.

 

well i am one step closer to buying an '06 and not waiting for this ugly brute

 

After reading about and seeing pics of the 07's I believe I am even more happy to be getting a new 06. Should be here shortly tick-tock ...

 

I just may order one of the last '06s. I'll keep Wanda, of course, but I would love to have one of the last of this platform.

 

I'm glad I got the '06. If I had waited till next year, then I would've opted for my 2nd choice........Audi A3

Those pics do not excite me much. I don't care for the front end look or that of the back. I hope the taillights are bigger, those look goofy so small like that.

 

Did anyone read the little caption next to the pictures?
It said that the supercharger is being replaced with a turbocharger? I think that's awesome. Maybe the only positive change. Does anyone know how much horsepower the S will have with the turbo in it?

 

Somewhere I read that the '07 turbo will have the same horsepower as the supercharged models.

I don't like it sam I am, not on a plane or a train, not any where and not in my drive way. I 'm so glad I got the 06. That hood scoop is fugly, I guess mini is just following the trend of other auto makers. The new VW (except the new gti) are ugly with the gay chrome front, the new Subaru with the fugly front.
