Not sure this belongs on a 2007 Mini Cooper S. I’m replacing the alternator, just pulling it out the top, so no service mode or bumper removal. I don’t remember seeing this guy when I was removing things. Any idea where this might go?

 

I've pulled apart and reassembled a lot of R56s ... I've never seen any part like that.

 

Yea thats a weird one. Maybe something left behind from manufacturing?

 

This is for mounting the plastic intake pipe after the intercooler to the core support. near the end of the tube.
