A couple of questions

Hi, Im in the process of purchasing a 2005 mini cooper s that is about to hit 50,000 miles, is there anything I should be looking for around this mileage? Also, the lower plastic part of the front bumper is a bit scratched up, how hard would it be to take off this piece and replace it? Cheers

Are you talking the bumper itself or the brush guard underneath? Dunno why you'd wanna replace it since its just gonna get scratched up (if thats the case) but if you mean the whole bottom part of the bumper, its going to take some elbow grease to get it off and you'll need to get a new one painted to match. May not be worth it for a couple scratches.

I'd check the records and make sure that it got in for all it's regular maintenance. Might want to have a mechanic look it over too just in case.

The plastic that is right below the lower grill, Its more like a lip than a brush guard and its definitely not painted. I searched for information on service intervals and parts but couldnt find the exact numbers, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

You might have to go to the mini dealer or take a picture and post it so we can see exactly what piece you're talking about. The Mini should alert you to service intervals, as in when it needs service. If you get in the car and put it into accessory/radio mode then hit the button on the end of the turn signal you should be able to cycle through the service maintenance menu to see when its due for ... everything (tires/brakes/fluids/etc). It'll either tell you a date or mileage when it needs done.
