r56 n18, Half engine light, cranking but not starting up.
I have a 2013 mini cooper s 2013 with an N18 engine the car has about 150k miles on it. For over a year now my car has randomly given me a half engine light and shut off on me, I usually pull over and wait about 5-10 minutes and when I turn it back on the light is gone and im able to drive like nothing ever happened and that usually happens every 3-4 months. The only code that it has shown is " High pressure fuel, plausibility too low". I replaced the high pressure fuel pump and it still happened. Today i was driving up a hill in second gear and the car stuttered and the half engine light came on and the car shut off I waited 5-10 minutes and tried to start it up and it cranked longer than usual and then turned on, ran for about 3 second and then sputtered out again. Now when i turn it on it does that everytime. I checked my codes again and i now have two new codes. "high pressure fuel system, plausibility, cold start: pressure too low" & "rail pressure sensor, plausibility: pressure too low before engine start". My next plan was to replace the high pressure fuel sensor, and then the low pressure fuel pump. Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them or has anyone solved this issue.
*SOLVED* JBE in passenger footwell was faulty, LPFP relay soldering was bad.

Has the in-tank fuel filter ever been replaced? I had some fuel pressure issues in my car (an early N18), changed out the fuel filter, and the issues went away. Low fuel pressure can be caused by lack of flow, which a clogged filter can cause.
I had CEL P15DF, which is 2BEE High pressure fuel, plausibility, cold start: Pressure too low, and was fixed by new hpfp.
When did you replace the hpfp? Since it was bought from FCP, it should have life time warranty. Perhaps try another hpfp?

mine had similar symptoms - I replaced hpfp, low press fuel pump, and the fuel filter and still no start - turned out the be the low pressure fuel pump relay soldering on the fuse box SPEG was bad and had to replace the entire fuse box (inside the cabin on the right side kick panel). You may open that open and have someone tap on it while trying to start the car and see if it fires up.
