The project car I picked up has some small unique details on the turn signals. Does this mean anything? I did read that they had 2 50 year anniversary models but this doesn't look like those.

It’s probably just a Justa . Many decorative side scuttles were available from MINI and the after market. Do you have a closer pic?

 

R57 justa. Only problem I got with it is what's that big ugly black thing doing up with the sun shining?
You'll want to locate a R57 specific wind deflector.
Also, only 3 reasons to put up the top:
1. It's raining
2. It's snowing
3. Some guys are throwing empty beer cans in the back seat and didn't invite me.

 

Lol, I hadn't driven it yet. First time out that thing was dooooooooooown.

Of course, it's 103 degrees outside so it's hard to keep it down for long.

Edit: wait a second. I've been assuming this is an r56 since i picked it up......... why would i have made that mistake?
