Does anyone know if these tail lights will be plug and play for a 2009 mini cooper s or will they throw error codes or something?

looks like one plug on the back of the unit and a handful of torx around the perimeter. shouldnt be any issues

Hello, I have a set of the Helix Union Jack tail lights on my 2015 R59 Roadster. They are fab!!

However, I am getting an error message on the dash saying the rear brake light is faulty. It's not as I have checked. I've read the codes and I am getting A8AF. I'm also seeing a code for the left side.

Do I need to do anything regarding coding to clear this? Is it because thet are LED's and the ones I took out are normal filament bulbs?

My solution was to use the Bimmercode app and an ODB2 reader. Recoded car so all rear lights, including fog and reversing lights were set to LED. No more alarms.
Sold the car now and brought an Abarth 124 Spider.

 

Make sure you have the 2011+ taillights, they should have 11 in the part number from helix. People are buying the 07 when they need 11 and vice versa. Just double check as thats were we are seeing lighting errors.
