Ebay Intercooler

Has anyone tried the cheap $150 or so Ebay Intercooler? I can't think of it being much better than the stock one at the price, but it may be useful?

I got the g+ for 142 shipped off eBay. My temps we running around the same 7-8 degrees above ambient. With some off the other mods I have added that temps might have gone up a little, the intake, but I’m holding a steady 16 lbs of boost now stock tune with mods.

I have a Wagner intercooler clone, and have never had issue with it. It will heat soak if idling for an extended period, but cools off quick once moving.

I would be curious to see if the guys that have the real deal forge, Wagner, etc. if they see the same thing. These hot humid days have no problem warming these intercoolers up. This morning it was 69 and I didn’t get my intake temps to 12 above ambient until I really got on it, ran 2-4 all the way out. Once I got back to cruising speed and hit cruise control dropped back down to 8-9 above. Getting the car up to temp, I was running no more than 2 degrees above, most of it was right at ambient, but my shifts were right around 3k. “Gently” getting on highway and up 75, set cruise, stayed at 4 degrees above, and stayed there till I got off and letter rip getting back on.

I did some data collection on mine years ago:

No complaints and I’m positive the G+ I purchased is actually a Wagner. I still haven’t gotten around it buying a real one to compare against.

I just can't convince myself to trade it out for "real" Wagner. The numbers are too good.

when I saw the ground marks on mine I was happy, and if it ain’t broke, no need to fix it.
