Hey so I did a clutch job on my mini and damaged one of the connectors on my EPS control unit. There are three connectors and the one that I damaged was one of the smaller connectors with ylw, ylw blk, ylw brn wires. If someone could either send me a picture of what pins these wires go to, or what they are for, I would really appreciate it. I found a connector from a 2008 Mini that works, but the wires are different colors. Here is a picture of what I’m talking about:
The first circle is the connector I’m talking about (Not the original colors). The second circle is the original wire colors.
Wow that’s exactly what I was looking for! Thank you. So I wired them up right, but the plug for the 2007 Mini was slightly different enough that it didn’t actually work. Anyways, luckily there was on 2008 mini in a 50 mile radius of me at the pick n pull. That connector was the exact same, wire colors included. So I soldered it and shrink wrapped it this time and now no issues! It’s always one of those small f-ups that keep my cars down for a week longer than they are supposed to 😒
Pick and pull for the win. And sharing an image for the next poor dope who drops their subframe without unplugging this eps connector the plastics have numerals. Pin 4 is ylw/brown pin 3 is ylw/black pin 2 is skipped pin 1 is yellow
