I don't post much - don't have many problems BUT today I went to use the sunroof and heard some grinding /ratcheting noises and roof would not open all the way nor would it close completely without toggling the switch back and forth. I pulled the main roof panel off and I can see that ONLY the rail on the drivers side is trying to move backwards and it won't move all the way back. Roof worked fine yesterday. Any suggestions? 2007 S.

watch some video and try to do the same..
Remove the glass see the rails clean them as good as possible remove the grease/lubricant and then put again lubricant...close it and i believe everything will be just fine!

 

I took the front panel off and was hoping I'd find something in there but didn't. The drivers track tries to move back but cant. The passenger track doesn't move at all??

 

Only thing i can think of is its really jammed or the cables might be damaged or teeth missing on the cable:
