I tried one of the eBay emulators and it worked fine for about 2 yrs and then then dreaded airbag icon came back. I'd try one again but I just haven't gotten around to it. I never had the fault cleared with a scanner if that makes a difference.

Anybody know whether this https://www.ebay.com/itm/OBD2-Car-Ai...6Iu0:rk:1:pf:0 will actually reset the airbag light?

It will reset most airbag errors after the condition has been fixed, such as after replacing a deployed airbag or seat belt tensioner, or if the car had been turned on while the seat was unplugged, etc. However a bad passenger seat mat will simply keep triggering a new error.

I can vouch for the Schwaben tool being able to clear the code after the fault has been fixed....I've done it several times.

Nice seats!

I moved the passenger occupancy sensor from my old seat (09 R55 punch leatherl to my new seat ('14 f56 Sport), and it worked for about two weeks. Since then it thinks that there is always someone in the seat, so I just have a CravenSpeed Chimex plugged in unless someone is in the seat. I think the reason that it isn't working right is that the seat base shapes are very different and I had a hard time getting the sensor to fit the f56 seat. If I were to do it again, I think that I'd try just leaving the sensor under the seat.

would like to remove everthing
I know I can jump
the Seat Belt Sensor
&
Seat Belt Pre-tensioner
with a 2.2Ohm 1/2 watt 5% resistor
but for the occupancy may not sure what I should do
maybe just put them inside the seats
