Best beginner upgrades for my Mini

I have a 2013 Cooper S hatch. It my replacement to my 2009 that someone hit. What are the best upgrades to start with? Cold air intake?

Thank you in advance.

What are your goals? More noise? More power? Better handling?

It's it a manual or automatic?

For sure our #1 mod is the cheap powerflex engine mount bushing insert that will reduce engine rock and help get the power to the ground

Then of course go with an intercooler as it will actually get you cooler air in the engine, a "cold air" intake won't.

we would also do a res delete pipe at the same time

But obviously a tune will net you the most power, just we always recommend an intercooler first

Then for your suspension a rear sway bar

I have a 2013 MCS 6mt. 4-5 track days per year. Ski Bums narrative is spot on. Only second thought is that I went with 22mm solid NM RSB and am thinking I might have preferred 25mm. EBC yellows ready for install. Bigger rotors on the list.

The stock MINI air intake is already a "cold air" intake and it works pretty well. Most aftermarket intakes only make noise and not any more power.
