Is my Mini tunned?

What's the easiest way to determine if my MCS has an aftermarket tune?

I recently bought an '07 MCS with an Alta Charge pipe, hot pipe, and CAI. I suspect it's likely tuned, but can I connect my Torque or Carly to find out for sure?

Hmm, see if boost goes over 12-14 psi?

Does it have all the supporting mods like aftermarket downpipe , 2nd cat delete and upgraded intercooler?

I believe the intercooler is stock, and the DP and exhaust definitely are.

Tunned?

Is that anything like "tuna'd"?

That would be a different kind of performance for a Mini...

The easiest way would be to look at the peak boost in 3rd or 4th gear

A stage 1 tune doesn't need supporting mods to make decent power. Boost level is a dead giveaway, though.

I don't think there's any other way to tell, unless you happen to find a JB4 box under the hood lol.

I do that all that time.

I intend to get off my *** and do this soon. I've been driving my other Mini, so haven't got around to it yet.

I've looked, but didn't see any piggy-back modules. I attempted to install my JB+, but didn't want to cut wires to make it work. If it had been a straight bolt-on I would have done it.

The boost barely broke 14 psi, so looks like it's a stock tune. It seems odd to me that someone would mod it to this extent, but not put a file on it. To each his own I suppose.

They probably liked the sound of the intake and louder recirc sound when lifting off boost. Intakes don't do anything on these engines since the DME compensates for everything. You thinking of a stage 1 tune? Manic is awesome.

I can't hear any of that from inside the car. I'd like to ****** up a tune if it was affordable. I'm selling the car in the next month, but I'd still throw a couple hundred at a decent tune if that would cover it. Anything more than that would be too much of a waste.

ahh, not worth it for a month. even the jb+ wouldn't work since it a N14.

When we do a tune and download the original file we can view all the maps so if it has been modified we can tell you. But honestly most cars aren't tuned and if they are usually they change hands and the old owner tells you.

If you do want a tune let us know as it's a nice bump in power.
