Diverter Valve from GP2 on MCS

Hey guys,

Just wondering if the DV from a GP2 would be an upgrade for a 2010 MCS. It's a straight swap as far as I know, but does anyone know if the DV from the GP2 is any different/better than the one in the 2010 MCS?

Thanks!

Its the same DV for the GP2 as its for the MINI Cooper S, now the newest design stock DV would be an upgrade over the -2010 which might have the older design. Pull the old DV out and compare to one listed.

It's pretty much the same DV. You could either add the $20 stiffer Alta Spring to your DV or go with the Forge DV system, I use it in my GP2 and it sounds good too, makes more of a whooshing sound.

Thank you all for the replies.

I've swapped in the DV from a GP2 and upon comparing, this DV is indeed slightly different from the original one on my 2010 MCS. Not really sure it'd be a performance upgrade though as they're only very slightly different; the springs felt exactly the same between the two.

I did find a crack in the plastic on the original 2010 DV though so I guess it was due for a replacement anyways.

Between the new DV and replacing a cracked turbo inlet pipe with another OEM one, the car somehow felt less powerful to me (maybe less boosty and more linear?). Go figure.

Welcome, yea the older pre 2010 and 2007-2009 design tend to crack on the diaphragm.
