Flushed the whole brake system and clutch lines with new fluid (Pentosin DOT4 LV)... No four letter words! The Motive power bleeder definitely helps.

It's very stable. It is a much safer, and stable platform, than 4 jack stands. It is rated for 5000lbs.
The footprint of the side you're seeing is 48"x9", and there is another on the opposite side. Total length of the jack, relaxed, is 72".
Center to center measurements for the Mini Lift points are 48"x 48", a box. Geometry says, you're stable.
Each jack weighs about 75lbs, so the units have some beef to them.
Can you push it over?? Probably but you're really going to have to work at it. On a flat surface, it would just about have to be intentional. Leaning against it will not push it off the jacks.
If I were to work under it, I would probably put some dunnage blocks though the jacks.

I haven't done it yet, but there was a thread on how do do it. I don't remember if it was on this forum, or another. ( My hard drive ate itself a few months back, so I lost a lot of bookmarks, and that was one of them.)
Basically you copy the curve of the rear side skirt, both sides, and make bending forms for each side.
You then get the mudflaps that fit a standard S model, and heat them with a heat gun while you affix them to the bending form, using the form as a brake. Once the plastic cools, remove it from the form and it should now fit the contour of the curves on the rear JCW skirts.
It looked pretty easy and once it was complete it looked nice.

I have rear mud flaps on my 2009MCS and they make a big difference keeping crap off the sides and rear of the car.

Positive about the mini brand in general: I like them enough that I sold my 2008 S Hatchback on May 4 and today paid for a 2013 JCW!

My family likes MINI's so much that we own three R56's. Great cars - comfortable, sporty, good looks, great culture!

Flames

I had suspected but my friend was riding behind last night and confirmed my R56 is throwing flames. Thanks Manic!

Got back Sunday evening from a week's vacation to Surf City N.C. from N.Y. with a quick stop on the way down in Baltimore M.D. to visit my brother. After leaving the Surf City beach we drive to Wilmington N.C. to visit some family and from there to Greensboro N.C. to visit my brother in law. A total of 1,522 trouble free and fun driving miles round trip in my '06 MCS. While in Wilmington, I had my MINI detailed by Personal Touch Mobile Detailing and the results were spectacular. Steam cleaned interior, hand wash, clay bar and carnuba wax finish. Awesome job! My MINI buzzed along the entire trip without any fuss whatsoever. Nice!

That's a nice car!! Mine is similar but is the Cream White on Rooster Red.
I really like those seats. That red piping is sweet! I have the same seats, but with white piping. I like yours better. Maybe I'll hand dye the piping in mine red.
There is a third party maker of leather arm rests for the Mini. They make them in Rooster Red, and they match the color of the red stitching on the shift boot. I added them to my JCW along with an E-brake boot with the same red stitching as the shift boot, when I installed a carbon fiber E-brake handle to match that JCW shift handle.

Once again, Very nice looking Mini. Very clean appearance. "Sano" as the used to say back in the day.

Thanks to both of you

The red piping is a nice touch for added "sportiness". Fits well with the theme of the interior for sure. Plus I went to the local dealer for a standard inspection and they told me the car has the extended maintenance warranty until 2019!

First I thought I was getting a like-new 2013 JCW with window tints. I bought it out of state sight unseen. On arrival I quickly noticed it has a clear bra on the whole hood, headlights, side mirrors, bumper, door edges, inside of door handles (who does that) and rear load edge. Wow! Then I open the hood and there's a JCW Strut Bar installed. Double wow! Now I find out it has the extended maintenance warranty. Triple wow! At 27k this car is a steal for the added goodies, not even necessarily included in the 43k MSRP.
