R56 Turbo vaccum line question
Turbo vaccum line hard or soft?
Troubleshooting reduced power engine light on tach.. comes on if hard the the go pedal. Odb2 monitor via torque app shows only 2-4psi max now.
So checking vacuum lines. There are two from the turbo one smaller than the other. The smaller one is rock hard throughout its length, the larger diameter one you can squeeze it.
Is it supposed to be hard like that?
Update: Problem was faulty diverter valve.
Thanks!

Car had boost this morning on the way to work, light still on though. Called the closest dealer to check recalls and there were two, the timing chain, and oil line heat shield.
It is going in for those end of the week, they will also check the code for the reduced power check engine light. However if it is the vacuum lines or the Diverter valve I will do it myself.
Can timing chain cause these symptoms? I do not hear any noticeable chain noise, but they have to change the tensioner regardless correct?
Thanks!

I have the same issue... My problem is the wastegate on my turbo... I know all about what are you talking about... Make sure there's no lek in the vacuum hoses, all the hoses coonected to the turbo are leak free and check the waste gate sensor and the boost sensor... Y my case it turn out to be the wastegate diafram dry rotted.. So I'm in the process of getting a new turbo..
