engine swap

hi all,
new here just have a quick question. i have a 2004 mini s manual and need to swap the motor. i have a 2006 s engine auto. will this be a problem

One way to check is to look both engines (block, crank, etc) up on realoem and see if the part numbers match. i know people do auto to manual conversions - perhaps search those threads for ideas, too.

Thanks Dave the engine is a match now all i have to is find a sc pulley puller. might as well while she is apart

Different wiring harness....the 2005+ model year refresh cars had extra sensors, and a computer change to match...
Not saying you cannot do it, just know you have extra work to get it working...
