2006 r53 hard start trouble starting
Hello im new here. I have a 2006 r53. I am having some issues with starting the car. I have to turn the ignition switch on and off a few times to let the fuel pump push the fuel all the way up again. Im loosing pressure somwhere but dont know where. The fuel pump is brand new the old one was acting up. Also changed rhe fuel filter. The o ring in the fuel filter housing(the bigger one is ripped, could that be the problem? Or is it somthing else. Also when i give it gas while in park and let off the throttle when the rpm's go back down it seems like it wants to die. Thank you for everything in advance. I would appriciate some help.

Ok thank you hopefully that does the trick. And also how much vacuum should be on the boost gauge, I just installed one and not sure if it is low it reads about 12 to 15 on the gauge is this normal?

If you are getting between 12 and 15 you are fine. No, a crack in the boot will not affect anything.....you may just be sucking in dirty air....probably should get it fixed.

I finally fixed that ripped fuel filter o ring and now it starts up on the first try. But now i have another problem. It was fine and pulling hard until i got home and put it into park and it wanted to die. So i gave it gas and it struggled until it was idling fine. Now if i give it gas slowing it will be fine and accelerate with no problems but when i give it gas at half or full throttle(even at idle) it seems like its just stuttering and wants to die but returns to normal when i let off the gas. Any suggestions? Any help would be appriciated.

If the problem started right after you messed with changing out the fuel pump/filter......then I'd say that there is a 99% chance that the problem is with the fuel pump/filter.
Get a fuel pressure gauge that you can mount to your fuel rail and see what fuel pressure you are getting when you turn the key on and the fuel pump pressurizes the lines. Then, turn the key off......it should hold that same pressure for hours....if it's bleeding off pressure, you have a leak somewhere.
