Features missing (Battery Reset?)

Hi,

Had my car in the workshop for quite a while with the battery disconnected. I got it back last night but a few features don't appear to work any more. Namely, welcome lights, and the preference I set on the trip display doesn't save.

It was an independent, so no coding has been done. No errors throw etc. Is there some sort of additional procedure that I need to do after a battery pull? I've searched the google webs and have come up empty handed.

Thanks in advance

Sure you are using the same key? Some features are coded to the key.

Hah! I bet you that's it. I'm using the key that I don't normally use (which I gave to the mechanic). The other key was lost by me and I can't find it. I'm assuming I'll have to get the dealer to re-program it. Not such a big deal if I'm buying a new key and they have to do their thing anyway.

All these options are just your preferences on features the car has. Just program them through the left stalk menus with your current key. You'll need to do the same with the new one. No dealer coding required.

Yep, no need to visit dealer, besides getting new key programmed

Hmm, it appears that I'm missing that menu. Mine is an Aussie delivered 08 FJCW (yes we got them a year earlier than the US). Perhaps it's a newer feature which I don't have.

There's no specific menu. Just use the key you want to program and set the one blink/three blinks, lock/unlock, radio presets, etc. the way that you want. The settings get stored with the key and the next time you use it they will be recalled. If you set a second key differently, then whenever you use that one you will get its unique settings.

Remember to have the ignition on and the engine running - some setup menu items don't show with just the fey fob in the slot.
