Help me sell my 11' JCW

Hey all,

I listed my 2011 loaded JCW for sale some months back. I had someone interested at $15,900. He strung me along for a couple of months and couldn't secure good financing on it and recently backed out. As my replacement car is here, I need to sell this car. I was initially looking for $17,000 and have finally today dropped it down to $13,900. It has high highway miles but is mechanically perfect. It has slight external stuff here and there externally but looks damn good for 92k miles. I'm putting this thread here as I posted it in for sale and in the JCW section but everyone in the JCW section already has a JCW. If someone can help me get this car sold for $13,900 I will PayPal them a $200 finders fee. If you find yourself then let's just call it $13,700.

As I still owe on the car I do not have title in hand.

Car has around 92,000 miles on it. I have it parked in a garage and will check on exact mileage soon. Zip code is 10509

All the information is in this thread including Carfax report and a Dropbox with tons of photos.

Thank you!

Best,

Gene,

There are always Autonation and CarMax - you can drop by and get an estimate of your car's trade-in value good for X-many days right on the spot.
It may be a bit of a drive, but worth it if you need to close the transaction quickly.

I know a bunch of people who have sold their cars to CarMax (racers after the car is returned to stock) and they've always had decent luck. At the very least you can get an idea for what the minimum you could get for it is.

As someone getting ready to sell their fJCW this thread makes me very sad

Yup! CarMax is your best bet. I've head great success with them as of late. They love MINI's. Good luck!

Yeah you're telling me! I can't believe I'm having trouble selling this car at this price.

I'll check out Carmax. At this point I wish I just traded it in at the Chevy dealer when I bought my new car. I just figured I could get way more for it.

Best,
Gene

Looks like an awesome car. Why would you get something different?

Good question. My wife and I had a 2011 Mazda 6 (which was hers) and I had this Mini (which was mine). We married a couple years ago. Anyway we were going to replace the Mazda 6 with something a heck of a lot more interesting to drive. After that was decided my wife and I got pregnant. We were trying but expected it to take a good while longer for reasons I won't get into. So now it just made more sense to keep the Mazda and sell the Mini because neither the Mini nor the new car are very good baby transporters. We LOVE the Mini and it's in perfect mechanical shape and excellent exterior shape for its mileage. I commute over an hour into school every day and it truly is mostly highway miles. There are few cars that are worthy enough to replace, or even upgrade over, my JCW Mini. This is one of them...

LOL... Yes it is but it's a whole nother level of hurt on the wallet to. Sweet JCW by the way. If I were looking for a great car to build into a beast right now you'd already have my offer. Would also love an R58 JCW. Gotta finish the one I have first though or my wife would make sure you could read all about my untimely demise in the obituaries.

Thanks for all the love guys. I'll try throwing it on Autotrader to see if I get any interested parties. That finders fee still stands!

Best,
Gene
