Tuning n00b here, RMW and intake questions!
Ok, so now that my loan is paid off I'm looking to start upgrading my 2010 R56s. And I have a few questions for the community about how to go about doing a tune.
I'm going with Jan for my tune, I hear from everyone that hes the best.
1. I'm assuming the flash device doesn't come with a canned tune on it right?
2. So I need to also buy the actual tune for $500, is this a canned or custom tune? How the heck does it all work? Some people said I need to rent a dyno for a few hours... And does this mean I should do all my other engine upgrades before I do this?
3. I spoke to Jan briefly about getting a CAI to replace my stock intake, and he said I'm better off getting a helix intercooler over a CAI. Does it really make that little of a difference?
Thats kinda it for my questions for now, any other advice you guys can give about increasing the horsepower on the N14 engine? I'm trying to build up a list of stuff to get one at a time.

For question 1 and 2, Jan can tell you exactly what you want to know.
For question 3, yes an intercooler is much better mod than an intake. The stock intake of the R56 is not too bad.

The stock CAI is more than enough and the intercooler will help keep intake temps down, whenever you get a tune your generating more heat in some cases. The next best thing is a water/meth injection that really lowers your intake temps even further than the intercooler, they also make a great benefit working together.
